Worship by ZOOM – Sunday June 28, 2020 ZOOMerview with special guest, Marva Wisdom

Order of Service – Sunday June 28, 2020 @ 10:30AM

As we prepare our hearts and minds for worship, I’d invite you listen to this classic hymn as a way of preparing for worship this morning. It was shared by Thelma Roswell.

“Amazing Grace”

St. Andrew’s Territorial Acknowledgement

As we gather, we acknowledge that Indigenous people were here long before us who cared for this land and called it home.  This territory has a rich history and was, and is to this day, considered sacred by many First Nations, Metis and Inuit peoples.  We have a responsibility to care for this land as their ancestors did and to continue to strengthen our relationships with our Indigenous neighbours.

The Guelph Black Heritage Society has launched the “Freedom Project” which promotes universal accessibility to Heritage Hall and will enable all people to attend events at the building.  The Heritage Hall “Freedom Project” will help GBHS fulfill its mandate to be community centered, promote inclusiveness and be respectful of all Canadians: past, present and future.

Today as we reflect on the issues of systemic racism, we can be a part of the Change that Starts NOW. Please consider a donation, if you are able, to the Guelph Black Heritage Society.
