We are open for in-person worship with socially distanced seating. Masks are optional for worship and church meetings.  You are encouraged to continue to use self-screening, wear a mask if you are more comfortable doing so, and to stay home if you do not feel well.

Please continue to join us online if you wish to participate virtually.
We look forward to worshipping again in this hybrid way.

BREAKING NEWS: St. Andrew’s has gifted $600,000 to tackle homelessness in Guelph-Wellington through the Home for Good Campaign

It has been a long time since our March 21, 2022 AGM when we agreed to donate $600,000.00 from the proceeds of the sale of Westminster-St. Paul’s building to support Permanent Supported Housing in Guelph.  However, our sub-committee (Nicki Groenewegen, Mary Visser Kerr, Cindy Bray, Rhonda Wright, and Carol Ann Johnstone) has been busy working with the Home for the Good Campaign folks and as you may have seen, the official launch took place on June 27, 2022 with St. Andrew’s donation front and centre.  We pray that our gift will inspire others to contribute to the campaign and to ending homelessness in our community. Read the news release here.

Some of our members had the opportunity to sit down with the Home for Good Campaign and share about the decision to get involved with the campaign. You can watch those conversations here:

A conversation with Mary Visser Kerr and Nicki Groenewegen about St. Andrew’s feeling called to meet the needs of those experiencing homelessness in Guelph.

A conversation with Cindy Bray and Rick McRonald about St. Andrew’s decision to contribute to the Home For Good Campaign

A conversation with Carol Ann Johnstone and Nicki Groenewegen about the opportunity to leave a legacy that honours the congregation of Westminster St. Paul’s

St. Andrew’s is working with community partners and individuals to respond to the Ukraine Refugee Crisis. As noted in Guelph Today, we are coming alongside individuals like John Wilkie who has opened his home to a family of 5 from Ukraine who are expected to arrive in May. We are looking to support as many local initiatives as possible and are looking for financial support as well as a team of volunteers to welcome these families. If you’d like to come alongside St. Andrew’s and its partners, please contact Rick McRonald (rickmcr@rogers.com) or Rhonda Wright (rhondawright102@yahoo.com).
